By changing the blower's speed,
the amount of oxygen introduced into your basin adjusts to meet
your process requirements. This is the key to
"happy" and productive "bugs." Give
them all of the oxygen they need, but don't starve or over feed
them. This close control is not
possible with any other method, especially the inefficient
method of using a butterfly valve or by cycling blowers on and
off.
VFDs change the speed of ac
induction motors by changing the output frequency.
All-Star's VFDs are sized to provide constant torque output down
to 50% of base speed. This means the motor will not
overheat is operated continuously at speeds down to 1750
rpm. If the blower speed needs to operate below 50% of
base speed, then the motor torque (load) must be reduced to 50%
as well. All-Star motors are rated VFD -
Inverter Duty.
The output from the DO sensor is
0-10 vdc or 4-20ma. Your existing DO sensor can be used,
if the output is satisfactory. The DO sensor output is
calibrated to provide an output proportional to your site
conditions. It is also field adjustable. In addition, a digital readout
indicator provides you with a current condition of the DO in
your basin.
There are numerous DO sensors in
the market as you know. Our system has standardized upon
two DO sensors. One is the Sensorex Company that using a membrane sensor as standard.
The other is type is a proprietary design that utilized
fluroescence technology. For more information on these two
DO sensors, click the following. Click Sensorex or Fluroesence
If you have
another brand or type, we can provide that unit with the
Maxi-Aeration system.
